there is a say about cat owners that they are more individualistic than dogs owners.
i have the strange feeling that sparks fans are cats people...
am i right?
i wonder if the sparks themselves own a pet... _________________ life isn't much, but there's nothing else to do. |

lets wait and see what the poll says :)
allergy problems don't count in
here is a cat that can be good for you :
he doesn't have hair! and most of the allergy to cats, comes from their hair. _________________ life isn't much, but there's nothing else to do. |

Yes, i admit it, i'm a catty kind of person. We've had cats at home when i was young. Once, I did have a black cat (to own a cat is a contradiction in therminis) but he died during his first lifetime. _________________ "Somebody's been putting pineapple juice in my pineapple juice!"

meanwhile the poll says that i am right :) most of the fans are cat people.
you are right about the fact that we don't really own the cat.
and about a death of an animal, i know how sad it is
once i found in the street a cat that was only born, and he died after a day
i was so sad ! even though he was in my home only for a day.
by the way, i forgot to mention the obvious, that i am a cat person myself.
here is my cute cat "pitzi" :
if you like, you can see more from him here:

I wonder who started that saying...
Anyway we all know cats are smarter than dogs, don't we? That's why they have owners (or should that be 'life partners'?) who are so special and unique and individual. I mean all dogs do, apart from being pets that give loyalty and affection, is act as Assistance or Service Dogs for people with disabilities; Therapy Dogs; Rescue Dogs; Search Dogs; Herding Dogs; Sled dogs; Hunting dogs; Guard dogs; Cadaver Dogs or Human Remains Detection Dogs; Drug and bomb Detection; War Dogs or K9 Corps; Police dogs or K9 Units; and last but not least Film and TV star Dogs who dedicate their lives to perfecting their thespian skill.
They do all this for a doggie biscuit and cause they are stupid and don't realise that they can just sit around all day and get patted.
In case this gets interpreted as anything other than sarcasm... it's sarcasm. Considering all the above, I find it a tad ironic that cat lovers have this tendency to label dogs as stupid and in the process label themselves as very clever people for preferring cats... My favourite argument is 'oh cats are way smarter because the don't do all these things and they only look after number 1'... I suppose next I'll be told the ability to learn is stupid.
As to individualism (whatever that actually means) I'm always up for a prove-my-individualism-is-more-individual-than-yours arm wrestling competition any day.
My vote goes to dogs and not for all the above reasons but because they are great pets and I prefer them to cats... woof woof...
Mr. John Barker (previously an African American Slave) with his dog, taken in Abilene Texas in 1937.
P.S. Not that you're cat isn't cute corina, it's adorable. I just like dogs more than cats... What that preference supposedly reveals about me as a person, I have to admit, doesn't interest me in the least. _________________

i am an alien, you are a vampire, so we are both unique in our own way :)

miao... miao...

what you said here, can suggest that you are an individualistic who doesn't care about what others think about him...but why did you have to destroy my theory about cat lovers and individualizm ? :)
|
i know that dogs are considered to be more loyal, helpful, etc, than cats.
but its not black and white,
not so long ago i heard about a case of a snake that wanted to attack a woman, and her cat jumped on him and saved the womans life (the cat is ok, if you were worried about him :))
i don't know if it was an instinct, or the cat did have intention to protect the woman,
but because we can never really know what is going inside the animals mind, we can never be sure about all this cats-dogs theorys.
in this topic i am talking mostly about the differences between cat lovers and dog lovers, and less about the differences between dogs and cats.
meanwhile the poll shows that my theory about the sparks fans is almost wrong...
i am still sure that you are individuals, for loving this kind of music,
but you just dont love cats more than others... _________________ life isn't much, but there's nothing else to do. |

I agree, let's keep the poor ole critters out of our human competitive tendencies and stop using them as symbols of who we'd like to think we are...that's why I suggested an arm wrestling contest. You on for it corina?!

I don't know how to answer... (besides, didn't own myself a cat or a dog, though I wish...) I like cats' independence and grace, that's for sure. But I also like the way dogs know to be wise and to show their love for their human friends. And dogs can be pretty individualistic characters too :)
Pitzi is soo cute... does she own the remote control in your house?

I can't vote, am a rat person . Rat owners are pretty good teammates but they are a little misanthropic. That makes us what - closer to cat people or dog people ? _________________ Sparks fan since 1974 |
