|
|
Quote from Scotland on Sunday, Review section yesterday from film writer Siobhan Synnot:
"One hot ticket has been Sparks' commitment to performing every album in their back catalogue in a three-week residency (eh?). My personal highlight was the Plagiarism night with a surprise appearance by Jimmy Somerville, duetting with Russel Mael on "Number One Song In Heaven" like two men with their knackers in a vice trying to think of more pleasant things. In a good way. THE MAEL BROTHERS WILL BE HEADING TO CONNECT FESTIVAL, and Scots fans should cross their fingers that they bring the eye-catching percussionist, a remote beauty who plays like a Dietrich of the drums"
Can anyone confirm?
Current line up for Sunday includes Franz Ferdinand, Goldfrapp and Young Knives.
Also, who is this mysterious drummer? Tammy Glover? Chirstie Hayden? |

That would brighten up an otherwise disappointing line up!! (I went last year for Bjork day. It was amazing). _________________ http://www.myspace.com/lewybodysociety

They're now listed on the Connect Festival website as part of the lineup. They seem to be topping the bill - quite rightly - on the Unknown Pleasures stage. |

How annoying...they had day tickets last year. Maybe they've all sold out. _________________ http://www.myspace.com/lewybodysociety

Yay, thanks for that Douglas! Just what I need to lift my depression after that great month in London, Sparks doing a gig in Scotland!!
If Sparks are definitely there on the 29th I'll be there too. Buses running from Glasgow too, so no probs getting back home.
I'm happy, so happy....... _________________ http://www.facebook.com/#!/profile.php?id=678905447 |

Crystal Castles on before Sparks too!!! Woohooo!!! (assuming they dont get pushed further down the bill by any other bands added) might just have to do this. The line up for the Guitars and Other Machines stage on the friday looks superb too. |

That would be great, they said ages ago they would like to do an album together didn't they?
Oh, I hope I can get a ticket, better tell me dad right away, it could be his birthday present to me, lol. |
