No! No! No! No! Halfnelson and Woofer are my favourite Sparks albums.
Kimono is not supposed to beat them...
...But it did.
I got so excited I went into corny shout out mode after three of the songs.
After Here in Heaven...
"THAT WAS HEAVEN!"
After Thank God It's Not Christmas...
"THANK GOD FOR SPARKS!"
And then a corny shout out for my own success coaching business that I part named after Talent Is An Asset...
"YOU ARE RISING TALENT!"

And a special hug for Paula for being called Paula.
...She knows what I mean.
Boy was Kimono incredible or what?
After the gig I chatted with my mate Andy and Ian Hampton and Joe Elliott. Joe thought my red t-shirt photo of Ron Mael looked like Richard 'Kid' Strange from the Doctors of Madness.
I jumped in when the bouncers tried to oust Ian from the gig... "He IS Sparks!" I protested.
Good Sparks criac in The Jury bar after. _________________ Reaction

That video sounds pretty good. Thanks!
The album cover floats above the band for the entire gig? Have they been doing that every night?
And was the Kimono cover girl ("on the right") really there?! |

Had a bloody fantastic night[happens at EVERY Sparks show]-still fizzy from it all-enjoyed every minute...even got to chat to Jonathon Ross on the balcony before the show began-he was really excited to be there and it was his first time seeing Sparks! _________________ Here kitty kitty, kitty here kitty, here kitty-

Yes, her actual presence added to the magic of the whole occassion. The album cover took prominance on the screen above the band.
Ron was strikingly in retro mode and totally commanding over a er.. boisterous audience.
And, of course, Russell was brillant in front of that first class rythmn machine. |

It must have been so terrible for the dj that was told of by the audienced. Why are so many of the people being so vicious? I'm damn glad I'm no a support act for Sparks. _________________ Don't blame that on me I ain't no Tony Perkins, I'm saner than you are, I know that for a fact |

Spotted Ian (with Kev) in the queue but didn't want to make a fuss in case he got mobbed - hope he didn't think people didn't care. |

Just a stunning show all round, highlight for me being 'Here In Heaven' and 'In My Family'.
Joe Elliot (Def Lep) loved it, he was over by the bar on the right the whole night.

This is my dad, who was at the Kimono gig. Yes she was there. As everyone filed out, and as i was only about 5 or 6 people away from her I "stalked" her over to where she was standing at the left hand side of the stage.
She was behind a barrier rope with a few of the entourage and I asked her if i could have a photo. I got 2 shots of her on my camera phone (flash was set to off - NOOOOOOOOO !) so they came out dark - then someone let the rope barrier down so i could stand next to her for a pic. When this guy took our pic and the flash didnt go off again - he offered to take one with his camera and mail it to me !
I had a little chat with the girl whose poster I've been looking at for the last 34 years, and she chuckled a bit when i told her and said she'd also been looking at it all that time !
The guy asked me for my mail and he put it in his organiser - but I'm still waiting :o(
If someone is reading this who know's the guy in the entourage who took a photo of me and the girl from the album cover - please let him know it would mean the world to me if he sent it - purrrrrrrrr-lease.
Unfortunately, it took about 30 seconds for me to shout my e-mail address to this guy - i wanted to make sure he got it right - and then the girl was moving off. Maybe I should have let the photo go - and kept talking to her. I wanted to ask her how she got picked to do the shoot - and what effect doing the shoot had on her life - if any.
Probably would have got an invite back stage ......... WAHHHHHHH !
But it was a magic moment for me, been staring at this girl for 34 years and I got to meet her (briefly) and exchange a little bit of humour. And yes, I recognised her !
Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant gig. C'mon Lil Beethoven !
