Sorry Baldski..seconding your own choice is a bit of a cheat...mind you Russ didn't lay down any rules about it. So I suppose you could vote for 100 songs
I typed these up hoping to keep all the choices listed..so people could cut and paste then add their choice or increase the number of the song they are seconding, thirding or fourthing(ad infinitum)
Sorry Dal...It isn't me in disguise,but I admire the Attack Squid's taste...lol |

Can the mods please clarify something here?
As I understand it, this 'ultimate encore' vote is for the whole of the second half of the ECOTD show, correct?
This means that the fans are choosing the setlist for every song that isn't ECOTD, so it's not just the one song.
Is this right? Or have I misread it, and it's just one song from the rare tracks that they're performing at the gigs? |

Yes, it's right
Quote: | On June 13th Sparks will play their new album Exotic Creatures Of The Deep at the Shepherd's Bush Empire. This is your chance to suggest one song that you would like Sparks to perform in the second 'Greatest Hits' set. Please just suggest ONE song only The most popular suggestions will form the basis the set list |
You are to name ONLY ONE song, and the second-part setlist will be formed from the songs that will get most votes.
But I think that if the song had not been rehearsed by the group in advance (i.e. was not on any of the previous setlists)? it will not be included regardless the number of votes it gets.
Now, am I right? _________________ Sparks fan since 1974 |

If a song which was unrehearsed was selected...an interesting possibility...I daresay that an ad-lib version might be included IF it was used. | I meant ad hoc...but ad lib works too....lol
Er I went to add a bit to the original post here and somehow scrubbed the entire bit except for the edit...so now it makes no sense at all...so please, no mutterings of.."same as usual then!!!"

The Mandalay Song, I saw them do this at Meltdown a couple of years ago and it was superb.
In fact I'd like to hear them doing a whole show of Brecht stuff sometime.
