Kermit!

I know it only takes one little Spark to start a fire but watching the news & seeing how the bush fires that started yesterday in LA are totally out of control, is really quite scary. I hope Ron & Russell are ok & safe but if there is any news about their predicament, it would be comforting to know how they are. Never turn your back on mother earth they told us 50 yrs ago!

I'm not on Facebook so I could only get to read a few of the comments before being locked out but I managed to see that they seem to be out of harms way & are safe. Which is such a relief so thank you so much for that link jill. I can't imagine being caught up in the middle of all that chaos & it's not over yet.

It's not over yet, indeed :( The fan who posted it appears to live on Camden Ave, cca 4-5 miles from Brentwood Country Mart, where things look like this:

Apparently they're both safe, but worried according to Ian Hampton, as he posted on FB yesterday.
We're all very concerned, so we try to get some information from various social networks as much as we can...

Now we can only hope Russell's studio (and all their recorded material) will survive this.
But for now, the most important is that they're alive and well.

As wildfires continue to spread across LA County, air quality in Beverly Hills has reached unhealthy levels. The thick smoke in the air can be harmful to everyone, especially those with respiratory issues, children, and the elderly.

That's a lovely message from Ron & Russell & many thanks for the reassuring words but good news on the new album coming soon. Music certainly can be a healer for all sorts of pain.
Never turn your back on mother earth, as they say, some wise words from a certain band 50 years ago. Maybe it should be included on the new album as a tribute to all those in LA who didn't survive the fires & to those who have gone through so much, including all the fire fighters & rescue teams that have been working so hard to save the city.
