Yeah it's a great shame what's going on in the US right now. Ron & Russ, being adopted Englophiles, must really be saddened with the craziness of what's happening at the moment. 'I'm Toast' was never so apt. Sparks fans in Washington should really be getting down to the White House, set up some loud speakers then play 'Please Don't F Up My World' over & over.... Andover!!!
People would soon pick up the lyrics & sing along.
'Give peace a chance' once sang a certain other duo of some importance. They lived in a famous big old white house too!
Our thoughts are with you guys & to all of the thousands of fans in America too. Stay safe. We love you. _________________ The fan formally known as kermit

I'm all in on the 2021 tour. I already had 2020 tickets to the UK (Manchester, Glasgow, London, Belfast), Dublin, and Paris shows, and just added all the rest from Brexhill-on-Sea all the way through Stockholm, excluding only the Barcelona* show. In 2008, I was thrilled to attend the Sparks Spectacular, but was only able to attend the first 5 shows. This time I've got my priorities and my life sorted better to accommodate my Sparks obsession! However, if a safe and viable COVID-19 vaccine isn't available in time, this party won't be happening, at least not for me.
*The Barcelona show is part of the sold-out Primavera Sound festival. One day tickets are 75€. You can add your name to a waitlist. I wrote them asking about tickets and here is their reply:
Quote: | Sparks actuarán el jueves 3 de junio de 2021 en Primavera Sound Barcelona. Para asistir al concierto, es necesario adquirir o bien una entrada de día para el jueves o bien el abono completo del festival (3 días). Ambos tipos de entrada para ver a Sparks están agotadas actualmente, pero puedes apuntarte en la waiting list de Dice y quedar a la espera para adquirir una: https://www.primaverasound.com/es/tickets?e=primavera-sound-barcelona-2021 |

Just been looking at the UK Goverment's plans, and (as was probably expected) it's really difficult to see how the UK tour could go ahead on the planned dates. International travel won't resume until 17 May at the earliest (that's just 3 days before the tour kicks off in Manchester).
As I read it, there would be a possibility for indoor concerts to take place after 17 May, but capacity would be halved (which presumably makes the planned gigs financially unfeasible). Full opening up won't take place until after 21 June at the earliest.
So will all be put back until winter 2021 or spring 2022? |

The tour should have been cancelled weeks ago as it was evident that live gigs just weren't going to happen in May or June this year. Russell said as much in an interview after the documentary premiered a month ago. Tickets are still available to buy today even after it's finally just been announced the tour will be rescheduled. The interest earned on tickets already sold will mount up to quite a tidy sum for somebody. Fans need to know much earlier as to what's happening so they can make or change their own arrangements. _________________ The fan formally known as kermit

Yeah, it would have been better if we'd heard earlier. Still, the gigs will be well worth the wait. _________________ "but we can hear what others can't hear..." |

I must thank some Spark's fans who were not patient enough and asked to get their money back, since the Sparks' concert of April 2022 would have taken place n 2020.
So my partner managed to book two places for Sparks' concert and informed me about only today, since it's my birthday... As for me, even if the concert should be postponed at that date, I will never give up.
I will be extremely pleased to write here some stuff about this concert and I am looking forward to being almost one year older. |

I am going to the Sparks' concert at the Casino de Paris in Paris. Fortunately French people are not as patient as the Germans . As usual the point is only to come early enough to be well placed, since there are only sitting places free of reservation. I am most of the years' time in Francfort/Oder but my family lives in Paris. |
