An awful lot of The Clash...clashing with each other (OK technically the Sparks cover isn't The Clash but you get my drift), what with this and a lot (an awful lot) of repetition...it starts the game losing its fun element. Repetitions are bound to happen but I'm sure we can all agree to a decent space between them...at very least not on the same page, same goes for cover versions and the same group being repeated....or am I sounding too draconian??

To continue...

P.S...just say if that DOES sound draconian ….if you don't want to say in public...feel free to send a PM. I won't be offended.

I think we must all mostly agree that allowing lyrics in a song has been generally unacceptable as a connection. Sorry Bnx but it would become a different game if we all did that & it would become sillier than it is already. So please try to stick to the artist or title of the song as a connection.
It was never stipulated but it's kinda gone that way. That said, you seem to be a newbie so welcome to the game & have fun. You can have this one for now....LOL....

So after all that i enter....

Home Is Where The Heart Is - Gladys Knight & The Pips

Hi Kermit, I'm not meaning to "make waves" but am just a bit puzzled by this - I also would have said "Suburban Homeboy" in reply to the song title containing yo-yo - in fact I have definitely gone on lyrics in some previous replies, and nobody has called me out on it. I thought the original idea of the game - going by the very first post - was "i'll start off with a song, and in the next post you type the song that comes to your mind instantly after seeing my song, and so on, understand?" [i.e. no matter what the reason is for thinking of a particular song - title, lyrics, whatever].

Anyway, in reply to Imperial March -

March - Lulu

. Of late there has been a lot of repeat postings ...same group...same song (a cover version)....and some with which there is no discernible link....if it is something as obscure as "Both songs have the word THE in the lyrics" it can include every song in existence...Although it doesn't say so in the original post...a little bit of imagination stretching was the purpose of the game.
Cast A Long Shadow...Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros(poss not the correct spelling)
