Thought this would be a bit of fun. Carrying on from what others have been discussing in other threads, what songs would we like to see pop up in the setlists from this tour?

Personally, I would love to see 'How Do I Get To Carnegie Hall?' in piano-only form. Since we've always seen Ron play it with his long arms in the past, it would be great to hear him just go for it and show off his skills! I also think some 'Bravo!' chants from the audience would go pretty well with this version.

As I mentioned in another thread, DEMAND that Ron plays
Boogie Piano in public! If only for a couple of minutes.
He does it so well, but is perhaps too shy to do it in public.
INSIST Fans! Beat him down!
Do it Ron!
(You know I'm right....)
;)

I really hope they pull out some rarities, like Slowboat and Let's Go Surfing :)

Nice one! Nice two, in fact.. Beautiful songs! "Lets Go Sufing" should be in a musical, was my first thought on hearing on that first spin of the vinyl "Gratuitous Sax and Senseless Violins" back in '94. So should "Slowboat". They'd be real show stoppers in a musical!

It would be nice if Gemma Ray turned up a special guest on two songs.

Oh yes, I'd love to see Gemma . She certainly has some fans here who'd make her feel welcome. Don't want to be too presumptuous if we're maybe a vocal minority. Indeed, this thread is becoming dominated with my typically opinionated posts. And, on a practical note, it may be unfeasible if rehearsals are all in LA. Here's hoping though...

Love, Boogie Woogie piano! Is there any particular song that may persuade Mr Mael to let rip? Perhaps a new arrangement of an old favourite?

As others have suggested, I'd like to hear How Do I Get To Carnegie Hall? and Slowboat. Also, It's A Knockoff, Frankly Scarlett I Don't Give A Damn and Miss The Start Miss The End. I hope there are a few different arrangements of familiar songs thrown in. Perhaps a cover version? A new song!?

I wonder if 'Goofing Off' would transfer to a "boogie" sound?...'I'm Not' definitely would IMO

"Pineapple" , "The Lady Is Lingering" and why not "My Other Voice"..These are a few I come to think of but it would be interesting and great to hear many of Sparks songs in this concept with "only" Ron and Russell.

Great choice, a song written by someone else. Couldn't you have come up with something better than "Do Re Mi"?

To GARY JOHN BARRETT:

Instead of coming down on others choice why don't you come up with something you would like to hear Sparks doing at "Two hands one mouth".

You are right Sparksswede.

How about Russell yodelling along to "The Lonely Goatherd"? Now that would be interesting.

The advert promises some old and new classics which are bound to be crowd pleasers:

Expect the set list to include 'This Town Ain't Big Enough For Both Of Us', 'Never Turn Your Back On Mother Earth', 'Something For The Girl With Everything', 'Dick Around' and more!

Balls would be a great choice.

And what about Ron "slobbering" over keyboards with a version of "Pretending To Be Drunk" with a fake cigarette and a glass of something resembling scotch?

Two fantastic tracks.
