tsk, everyone knows you should be listening to number one song in heaven when you get hit while crossing the street.. |
Hahahah.
I actually have a close friend that made me an animation from the video for "No. 1 Song in Heaven", just because I crack up when Ron creepily smiles while Russell is singing about dying before you wake, or crossing the street. Hahah. _________________ Last.fm.

Quite right Alex. He said something to the effect that there would be no show next week because of Comic Relief, but he would be back the following week, featuring,by popular demand, Sparks. According to Republic's press release, they're performing "I Can't Believe That You Would Fall For All The Crap in This Song." Get ready for Ron and Russell's funky choreography! |

I just don't understand why Mr Ross doesn't do a TV interview with Sparks. He's interviewed them very well on his radio show, he's had them play live before on the tv show, he's an avid Sparks fan (even if he does get his facts wrong sometimes), goes to the occasional concert, plays their songs yet won't do a TV chat slot with them. Now more than ever would be the perfect timing for a proper TV interview. |

Agree with you Kermit.I wonder if there is a reason why he does'nt? Maybe the people above him on the show decide these matters? Would be great to see Sparks interviewed and then play at the end of the show. |

I think that is the case with most chatshows, people above the presenters usualy decide who to invite on/which bands should play. But it would be nice to see Ron and Russ interviwed and play, like on The Culture Show last year _________________ I'm a Suburban Homeboy |

Looking forward to seeing them on FNWJR tonight, get's me really in the mood for the show tommorow.
Does anyone know for SURE what song they are playing? It has been rumoured it will be ICBTYWFFATCITS, but I read somewhere else that they performed Lighten up Morrisey? _________________ I'm a Suburban Homeboy |

does anyone know who the (session?) musicians are that were in this performance? One of them looks exactly like Marcus who used to play for Henry Rollins of all people!
Jonathan Ross is a wanker but he has some good and unexpected bands on sometimes. |

Yup, both Jim and Marcus used to be in the Rollins Band.
Those two (now joined by mr. Nistor) have managed to sneak themselves into three mayor parts of my record collection.
Rollins, Sparks and now Daniel Lanois.
It's a small world after all. _________________ Not so suave.

Having applied for tickets for the above mentioned show, like a few others, I did not receive any.
However, despite saying I only wanted them for that particular recording, Lo and behold a pair of tickets arrived through my letterbox today. It is for a recording on Tuesday 18 June 5.45 for a 6.45 (miss the)start at the BBC studios Wood Lane.
Anyone wishing the 2 tickets just drop me a pm, no charge of course.
I should warn folks that tickets say they dont guarantee entry, they send out more tickets than seats so it is a case of 1st come 1st served. |
