I don't think this clip even comes close to capturing the excitement, energy, and near-frenetic-ism of the FFS performances that I've seen through You Tube and the like. And the audience seemed comatose!
Nice clear video though. Thank you for posting!
Seeing them in October in the States. Can't wait! _________________ Check out my new YouTube show all about Sparks and their fans! It's at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QvkUP_P9O0&ab_channel=MonteMallin - thanks! |

Yes, the audience was drawn largely from festival goers interested in snapping up a freebie, (quite commonplace), rather than from exclusively fans of Franz Ferdinand and Sparks. However, a certain cunning superfan, from my home town, devised a unfathomable (and hitherto undisclosed) means of infiltrating it. Indeed, many of the on-the-ball local FFS fans secured advance tickets. In fact, the BBC was keen to interview us about the collaboration as we queued to enter.
The FFS performance did actually go down well with the audience, and there was a fun atmosphere building in the tent. We had been forewarned, though, not to rise to dance around.
At the six amazing UK concerts, the sell-out crowds were every bit as animated with appreciation as you describe Mr Monte! I hope that the US tour will reward with similar enthusiasm! |

So, why was the audience asked not to dance around? Just curious... _________________ Check out my new YouTube show all about Sparks and their fans! It's at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QvkUP_P9O0&ab_channel=MonteMallin - thanks! |
