Just a bit of advice.....it isn't a wise move to contact ANY member on this(or any other) forum for personal intercourse, without knowing who you are
contacting...any non-response isn't essentially rude...but more a way of protecting both parties from any compromising situation.True you have to draw a line somewhere or else the world would come to a standstill...but it is better to be safe than sorry!!!!(OK I might bew an old fuddy duddy...but I'm a bloody safe old fuddy duddy!!!!!!

Another "old" post bumped up for no apparent reason...it is a bit ironic that this particular post should be brought to the fore...everything it advises has been taken on board by the poster called "lock 651"...no real name...no real e-address...no real website...no real anything really!!!!

It`s a forum bot....automated spamming script....
that`s why I wondered why it hadn`t been removed.

I'm not too aux fait with what you are saying...but if its just some kind of spamming thing...why do some people come on....look through old posts...print shite(on old posts as opposed to new)...then leave in time for the next one to come and carry on???

They are not people, they are automated forum scripts that just pick up on any random thread, randomly... and post anything, just to get the websites they are "promoting" noticed.

It`s the forum version of a virus basically.

fair enough...but how do these things edit a post to use a part of it as a "quote"(OK its the first bit!!)...then get a relevant sentence to suit that quote(even if the spelling is wrong)?????Nope I think this is like fly posting or leaflet distribution...they pay peanuts to get a person to do it!!

Crude A.I. techniques, the more info you give them the smarter they get.
Just have a look round the hacking sites and you`ll find the culprits.

Still an odd post to pick up on...the only reason it is here is by way of an apology to a poster who contacted me to join him on MSN....but he wasn't a poster I was too used to so this post was my polite reply and way of refusing the offer.

There`s no "warning" system or poster blocking method on this forum either, so it`s just a case of ignoring them....

but the mods really need to remove them, as that`s the only way to stop them and their adverts....and as potentially harmless as they are, they could still be harvesting the email addresses from the site, so they really need to go.
