As HYL's mania descends upon us, may I ask you a question about the future.
If you could wave your magic wand, would you want the next album to be something new, something different, something ahead of its day perhaps. Or would you prefer Sparks to create another Kimono or Propaganda, basically something with the exact same feel of 1974-75. _________________ The outstanding ebay song, clicky clicky |

100% wow i never been so right in my life!
The past is a very fine thing where it is. Although the idea of another KMH or Woofer or Indiscreet is tempting... i still would like them to make another mindblowing album. Just like No.1 In Heaven was (and also GS&SV and LIL.B were to a lesser extend).
Suggestion:
Sparks go Tex-Mex (Flaco Jimenez/Los Lobos)
Sparks go Craut-rock (Rammstoney)
Sparks go industrial (Ministry/Feindflug/Stromkern)
..but most of all i like SPARKS again to be a REAL band! _________________ "Somebody's been putting pineapple juice in my pineapple juice!"

They just keep getting better & better. Let the good times roll, boyz & girl (Sparks, the band that it is now) and keep the new stuff coming! |

Sparks have always been at their best when they've taken a leap into the future (No 1 in Heaven, GS&SV, Lil' B). Not many bands with such a long history manage to remain as forward looking as the Maels. _________________ "but we can hear what others can't hear..." |

OK I really like Sparks of 1974 and 1975 but I like them to move forward.
Itīs really interesting to hear a new album by Sparks and not really know what to expect first,a sort of surprise.
I think it can really take some listenings to really get in to it if itīs not "conventional music" like for ex. "LilīBeethoven" and I believe also with "HYL" (I havenīt heard it yet, wanna wait....surprise LIVE soon...)but it grows and getting better and better.
So my vote will be for Sparks to move forward and come up with something new again as long as it is good or became good after some listenings and Iīm sure it will.
Sparks are so great! |

Something new and innovative, hopefully with a full band once again. I'd like to see them do something with Jane Wiedlin, but this time rather than a duet, she supplies backing vocals & rythm guitar. |

Yes, yes, yes and Lio on vocals aswell...!
...and now i come to think of it.... let's have an all girl-backing-band of SPARKS... they'd never done that before? But not just older galls... we should be openminded towards youngsters aswell _________________ "Somebody's been putting pineapple juice in my pineapple juice!"

Oh, I like the old stuff! I like the past! But, I know how Ron and Russ
like to look forward and don't want to repeat themselves! And, looking at their real masterpiece HYL, I can vote 2008 with real confidence! _________________ Stop, there's gotta be a million girls like her, though

yeh , but "repeat themselves" is just what they been doing for 6 years now and I'm frankly bored with it. At their age(Ron is 61!), how long do you think Sparks have left? I've stopped being that interested in Sparks. I've moved on! |

I think they have got plenty of mileage left in them yet - after all, 61 is not such a big age these days. I'll never stop being interested in Sparks who after all, are the best group that ever was, ever is and ever will be (IMHO of course). _________________ Carol wears Cacheral..... |

61 i thought he was 3 years younger.Bowie is 60 and is still around and very relevant to his fans.Mick Jagger is older still than Bowie and he is as fit as anything,he never puts weight on-respect to him for that. |

Age does not matter that much anymore, there are indeed many examples! I don't think Ron & Russ are bored at all! _________________ Stop, there's gotta be a million girls like her, though
