Ron and Russell are going in the right direction by releasing something new to CD..
They should follow it up with the issue of some unreleased material..It seems a bit pointless to just reissue another old CD like Grat Sax which is not difficult to optain. _________________ None |

In an early post in this topic i already pointed out that both issues have the same nummer. So i doubt there is a special version. _________________ "Somebody's been putting pineapple juice in my pineapple juice!"

I find it really hard to believe that Sparks did not record any other material at the time of the Introducing album. Not one other song?
I wasn't exactly expecting a soaring version of 'Good Vibrations' -although that would have been good - but do they expect us to believe that all of the available songs were included on the album?
Never mind though, I remember playing it constantly when it came out. My favourite lyric is "We pilots jet you anywhere, we'll be your father in the air, we try to look calm and cool, but we're as scared as all of you...ha,ha!"
So when's the live show re-creation of the Introducing Sparks album happening then? Complete with just a grand piano and a card-board cut-out standee of Lee Ritenour!! _________________ I drew a blank in my language, and Latin, and Spanish, and Greek. It ain't done with smoke and mirrors. |

Mine hasn't arrived either (I'm in the UK if that matters). Glad to hear I'm not the only one who hasn't received it yet. |

Mine arrived yesterday. Haven't heard my (vinyl) copy for some time so a real joy to pop this in the cd player and repeat tracks without any danger of scratching anymore!! The cardboard slipcase, however, means it doesn't matter to a certain extent whether you chose the Ron-cover or the Russ-cover as, from the outside, it is just like the original only in cd form. No new material on this, but I'm so bowled over to see it in cd format, I just don't care... _________________ Just sits and smokes |

Any chance you can post some pictures? I think what you are saying is that only the slipcase is different - the cd itself is the same in both the Ron or Russell variation? |

Once again Sparks managment offer no information. Two weeks waiting, and it has yet to arrive...and so the exclusivity of pre-ordering has been eliminated.
Is it so difficult to email?
Bit of a cock up, I must say. |

I'm not sure what your actual complaint is...it isn't really two weeks waiting is it??Most people have just received their copies within the past few days...and,as far as I can see those are all on mainland uk.If you have queried any perceived delay and haven't had a response, well fair comment...but maybe you are just jumping the gun a bit...if it's the same story this time next week I will retract every word of this.
However just to blast off at Sparks' management for something that might be out of their hands is a bit drastic...and after all it only appears to be you so far...so there might be some sort of shipping delay.
PS..I must point out...I am NOT in any way connected to the management by birthright, marriage, cult membership or tap-dancing classes |
