They were excellent, Dallon Weekes is a natural showman.
He was upfront about them using a backing track, which is fine.
Me and Neil and another couple were representing the over 60s crowd, otherwise it was mostly late teens and 20s who were all word perfect, a proper karaoke vibe going on.
The girl rocker support band, can't remember their name were quite good, but Will Joseph Cook was utter shite.
If you want to pm me an email address I can send you the vid I took of Razzmatazz. _________________ www.britbitsandclips.com

2021 song by The Stranglers - This Song
I give it a solid 7/10 and worth checking out if you liked The Stranglers even a wee bit back in the day.
The opening lines set the tone...
I’m collecting all these feelings for you
Put them in a box in a darkened room
And seal the lid with an industry-standard glue
There just aren't enough songs with a 'glue' reference! _________________ Billy, Don't Be A Porter |

Now I Wanna Sniff Some Glue by The Ramones in reply to glue songs.
Dug out Weird Tales Of The Ramones boxset. Too bad it includes an inferior story of the band and crappy music videos. Comic book is good. Official film End Of The Century is excellent. |

The Seduction Of Ingmar Bergman
Haven't played this for a long time. Sounds more interesting now than the last time, as I remember it anyway. Good. |

Extra Track (And A Tacky Badge) - The Smiths
Unofficial compilation of the Rough Trade singles. Some live performances better than studio cuts. The How Soon Is Now was put on too many of the singles.
The Sandie Shaw versions are a relief, listening to Morrissey's style tends to grate at the best of times. Their material got better towards the end. Queen Is Dead box is a good one, the demos and Derek Jarman films very good indeed.
Overall rating 50/50. |

The title song by Weird Milk from their just released five song EP, "We Were Strangers". Some bands make this music thing seem effortless. Well Done!
I've only heard it a few times but I'll grade it an 8/10

These Are Our Children by I, Monster...recommended by Richard Kidd ( yes the one who does all the unofficial Sparks videos on YouTube...and a blooming good job he does too.)
This song is a strangely haunting yet simple track...worth a listen. |
