Thanks for letting me know there was some truth in it. Just wondered when there didn't seem to be any snow where the reporter was. How much accumulation?
Sorry to hear your heat is out again. I hope you have an electric heater to help out. _________________ "Language, however, is not language" |

Around -25 C - -30 C here.
Which I like, but I wouldn't mind more snow, as we've haven't had a proper snowfall since late October. _________________ Not so suave.

I like to think I'm all in perfect working order despite the cold...
.....mind you, my perfect working order has always been a bit suspect at the best of times!!! |

Good to get another perspective.
I love winter (though my husband points out I am not the one who plows and shovels the snow) so the gloomier, snowier, etc. the better. Nothing like a good book, good music, a fire and a steaming hot beverage during a wintry day. Today is, I think, our coldest yet with a high in the low 30s F and going into the 20s tonight. Snow squall just passed through but no accumulation yet. Flood waters have receded. _________________ "Language, however, is not language" |

Oh well its this time of year again. Its cold out there and theres some snow out there-so what.Get your self out and embrace it.Get your running shoes on and do 4 miles in it.Its character building and its fun.The only thing i feel sorry for are the birds as i said last year.Feed them everyone.Buy those suet blocks in trays at around 75p each and place them in your gardens along with different grains and sunflower hearts.Blackbirds,Starlings,Collared Doves,Wood Pigeons,Blue Tits,Great Tits,Coal Tits,Chaffinches,Greenfinches,Goldfinches and more will fill your garden with colour.Go on you know it makes sense-keep the birds alive in this cold snap.Sod the moaning human beings apart from the elderly....Over and out Cwis Packham. |

I had a load of Jackdaws(sorry don't know the collective noun for that ) scaring off the tits and collared doves yesterday....it was a gang of starlings(who teamed up with a squirrel)who eventually chased them off. |

Really windy here still. Dropped down to 24 deg. last night and our high is only supposed to be around freezing so a big change. _________________ "Language, however, is not language" |

Snow and a lot of gloom today in central PA. End of the week near 0 F deg. My kind of weather. Remember because I love winter, I get to complain in the summer. Just putting you on notice. _________________ "Language, however, is not language" |

Jessie, you'll be glad you're not in Australia (just south of Sydney) today - 30 degrees celsius (about 86 F). I love it though (it's winter I complain about!) _________________ 'I used to think that everything was just being funny but now I don't know. I mean, how can you tell?' - Andy Warhol |

You're correct. I'd love to see Australia but the current warm weather would not be for me. Hey, at least there's some weather we each can enjoy. :) The big storm headed to the Northeast this week is now beginning Mon and still continuing through Wed.! _________________ "Language, however, is not language" |

Jessie - 35 degrees C (about 95 F) here today!
(And cyclonic weather in northern Queensland - that's one unlucky state at the moment....)
Did you get that storm predicted for Mon-Wed? _________________ 'I used to think that everything was just being funny but now I don't know. I mean, how can you tell?' - Andy Warhol |
